Infill redevelopment takes small, urban land parcels and uses innovative design and construction techniques to increase density on site. This reduces the building footprint and minimizes urban sprawl. The previous use was a small vacant land lot. There will now be 48 apartment units serving a much greater number of residents in the City. Furthermore, this type of development promotes a walkable environment, use of public transportation and energy efficiency.
